One measure of how Houghton is blessed is the support the college receives from donors, who, generation after generation, continue to show their confidence in Houghton through their gifts. Their generosity allows Houghton to do its work of equipping scholar-servants to lead and labor in a changing world. We are grateful to those listed on the following pages, in these categories:

Friends—Many people, while they may not have attended Houghton College, can truly be called friends because they support our mission through their prayers, kind words and financial gifts. We gratefully acknowledge their generosity as well as the gifts of those who wish to remain anonymous.

Alumni—Thank you to all the alumni who remembered Houghton in your prayers, through recruiting and who gave gifts this year. We acknowledge the support of these individuals and those who wish to remain anonymous, recognized here by class year or cohort.

Highlander Sports Associates—Special thanks to friends and former athletes known as Highlander Sports Associates. Your support, through The Houghton Fund, continues the advancement and quality of both intercollegiate and intracampus sports.

Foundation of Canada—The Foundation of Canada spreads news and information about Houghton through the evangelical Christian community in Canada and assists Canadian students in attending the college by underwriting a scholarship fund. We recognize the donors from fiscal year 2006.

Heritage Fellowship—We welcome and recognize those individuals who have named Houghton College in their will/estate planning during fiscal year 2006.

Scholarship List—This list recognizes those who have funded named scholarships, which provide financial support for students.

Matured Estates—Houghton gratefully acknowledges the gifts made through thoughtful and careful estate planning. Over the years, gifts from estates have provided scholarships, faculty support and improved academic services.

Foundation Giving—Houghton College is grateful for the foundations in this list that provide support for scholarships, educational programs and building projects.

Church Matching—The churches and ministries listed participated in the financial support of a Houghton College student from their congregation. Houghton matches their gifts, dollar-for-dollar up to $750 per student.

In Memory—The college often receives gifts in memory of a cherished loved one, friend, faculty or staff member, or classmate.

In Honor—Family, friends or colleagues honored the individuals listed through a gift to Houghton in their name.

Corporations and Gifts-in-Kind—Every year the college receives material gifts and financial support from alumni, churches, corporations and friends that specifically help a project, program or initiative. We greatly appreciate these valuable donations and express our gratitude.

Matching Gift Companies—Houghton received gifts from these companies that matched generous giving by our alumni and friends.
