The Writing Center @ Houghton College
The Writing Center is a free, walk-in service available to all Houghton College students.
A sign-up sheet is posted on the door for anyone wanting to schedule a conference in advance. Let our friendly, trained peer consultants - whose goal is to facilitate better understanding in matters of purpose, audience, focus, support, development, organization and voice rather than merely to proofread - talk with you about your writing projects in all stages: brainstorming, drafting, revising and editing. Whenever possible, please bring your assignment sheet and any grading criteria provided with you to your meeting.
