Faith and Justice Symposium
This year the Houghton College Center for Faith, Justice and Global Engagement will hold its second annual Faith and Justice Symposium. The symposium will focus on the topic of human trafficking, and particularly on strategies to combat the destruction that it brings.
2012 Symposium
Sept. 27 - Oct. 1
Trafficking Overview
Human trafficking, a multi-billion dollar industry based on the principles of supply and demand, has been called the ’21st Century Abolitionist Movement’. Global in its reach, human trafficking targets vulnerable people for labor and sexual exploitation. To combat the problem, bold and holistic approaches are essential to stop the destruction of so many lives and families. This Symposium will seek to explore and address the complexities of human trafficking from the programmatic and policy perspectives.
