Medical Technology at Houghton
The program in medical technology, which leads to B.S. in biology, requires that a student complete 94 hours of course work at Houghton and then transfer to Robert Packer Hospital (Sayre, PA), or another approved program, to complete a major in biology and a minor in chemistry.
Following successful completion of the senior year in the hospital program, students are qualified to sit for the national certification exams. These are administered by the Board of Registry of Medical Technologists and the National Certification Agency for Medical Personnel.
