Pre-Physical Therapy at Houghton

The Houghton program in pre-physical therapy entails a major in biology (with pre-physical therapy emphasis) plus a minor in athletic training. The 26-hour program includes coursework in biology, physical education, chemistry, and mathematics. Students also have the option of combining two to three years of work at Houghton with two years of work in a professional physical therapy program elsewhere.

Recent Houghton pre-physical therapy alumni have been accepted into master's and doctoral physical therapy programs at the University of Buffalo, Old Dominion, Marymount, Temple, Acadia, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
