Benjamin Sayers
Ben Sayers, our guest speaker on October 8, 2010, is the CEO and founder of VoIP Supply, LLC, which is the leading brand in the Voice over Internet Protocol hardware retail industry and was named as one of the top 100 private companies in Western NY in 2008 and 2009.
Mr. Sayers was born in Kingston, Ontario, in 1973 but moved to Houghton in 1976. His father is former Houghton philosophy and ethics professor Brian Sayers. Having enjoyed hard work even as a child, he started several small businesses and self-promoted himself into design work, database creation and migration, and telephone systems after briefly working at a call center. In 1995, he created IVR, Inc., which created and hosted automated telephone applications such as surveys and employment screening; he sold it in 2001 and founded B2 Technologies, LLC the next year, creating an automated day-trading platform that utilized 30-second incremental analyses. In 2004, Ben converted B2 into VoIP Supply, LLC in order to focus exclusively on Voice over IP hardware retail.
