Brad Van Riper  

    Bradley (Brad) Van Riper, age 53, and a 29 -year Truck-Lite employee, has progressed through the management ranks, serving in both manufacturing and engineering, serving currently as its Sr. Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

    He is currently responsible for the development of technology integration plans, intellectual property monitoring and regulatory standards monitoring for the global Truck-Lite organization.  Brad is active in supporting the development of new product innovations and is the holder of several US Patents. 

    He is active in numerous industry organizations, including the Society of Automotive Engineers (Chairman of the Lighting Committee), the Transportation Safety Equipment Institute (Immediate Past President), the Society of Plastics Engineers (Senior Member) and the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) of the American Trucking Association (since 1990).  He was a recipient of the Jamestown Community College's Distinguished Alumnus award in 2002.  In 2003, Mr. Van Riper received the Silver Spark Plug Award from TMC, a lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contributions to heavy duty vehicle maintenance.

    Mr. Van Riper is a member of Truck-Lite’s Planning and Operations Group and is actively involved in the management of the global business.  He brings to the Team an awareness of the Industry, maintains a technical eye on the business, customer focus and sensitivity, and challenges the team to maintain its Innovative Leadership.

    Mr. Van Riper has a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the State University of New York.  He is a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1973-1977.   He has been married to his wife Becky for 29 years and they have two sons, Christopher and Aaron.
