Don Purdy '89

Don PurdyDon Purdy serves as the Director of Football Administration for the Buffalo Bills. His duties include the oversight of finances and administrative matters for coaching, scouting, trainers and players. He is involved in contract negotiations, team travel and player injury matters. He has served in several capacities with the Bills, including assistant business manager, but started with the organization as an intern through the Houghton College internship program.  

Don has had the opportunity to travel all over the world with the Bills, including London and Berlin. He also joined them on four trips to the Super Bowl. He served under Bill Polian, John Butler and Marv Levy prior to the current team leadership.   Don earned his bachelor’s degree from Houghton College in 1989. He was a business major with a minor in economics. Don is married to Amy, also a 1989 Houghton graduate, and they have two daughters, Anna and Claire.

The purpose of the monthly Guest Executive Dinner series at Houghton College is to increase student exposure to marketplace professionals from various fields and service opportunities to be both salt and light after college.
