Doug Perkins

Douglas A. Perkins obtained his bachelor's degree here at Houghton (’67) in psychology with a minor in sociology. He continued his education by obtaining his Masters in Education at Trinity University, and later a doctorate in educational leadership from Seattle University.

Dr. Perkins has conducted presentations for many businesses across Canada and has experience presenting lectures in formal and informal settings to groups ranging from ten to five hundred. He has done training in over ten countries such as Cuba, Mexico, Korea, Chile, Columbia, Trinidad, Romania, and Britain, as well as to multi-cultural groups in Canada. He is able to involve the audience in the learning process so that they learn the maximum from his presentations.

Dr. Perkins’ other job experiences include: training director for Coastal Pacific Xpress Inc., teaching business English and training in China, Academic Dean & Professor of Education at Emmanuel College, Executive Director of Youth for Christ, and Director of Youth Resources, YFC National Office, Toronto.
