Emerson Fullwood
Emerson Fullwood is a corporate vice president of Xerox Corporation and serves as executive chief staff and marketing officer for Xerox North America, a $9 billion business that serves both the USA and Canada. In this capacity, he is responsible for marketing Xerox's entire portfolio of products including office systems, digital production equipment and business services. He oversees direct sales and marketing organizations and indirect channels.
Mr. Fullwood joined Xerox in 1972 as an account representative. He held a variety of general management posts leading large global business units after advancing through progressively responsible marketing, sales and operations management assignments earlier in his career. Prior to his current position, Mr. Fullwood served as president of the Xerox Channels Group where he managed worldwide sales, marketing and distribution of office products through resellers, agents, concessionaires and dealers.
Mr. Fullwood's recent senior management roles have included: executive chief staff officer for Xerox Developing Markets Operations, the business unit charged with product distribution and service to customers in more than 120 nations; president of Xerox's Worldwide Customer Services Group, an organization with $7 billion in revenue and 25,000 employees that provides services and support for the company's entire product portfolio.
An active business leader, Fullwood sits on a number of corporate boards. He frequently is named among the nation's top executives, earning recognition this year from Black Enterprise magazine as one of the "75 Most Powerful African-Americans in Corporate America," and in 2004 from VARBusiness magazine as one of the "Top 100 Executives" responsible for supporting computer resellers.
A passionate community leader, Fullwood also serves as a board member and/or officer for the Rochester, NY Urban League; Rochester Boy Scouts of America Otetiana Council; the Xerox Foundation; Monroe Community College, North Carolina A&T University's College of Engineering Industry Advisory Group, and Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. He also heads the United Way of Greater Rochester's Howard Wilson Coles Society, and works with several professional and church organizations.
Mr. Fullwood holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from North Carolina State University, a master of business administration degree in marketing from Columbia University, and an honorary doctorate degree from North Carolina A&T University.
He and his wife Vernita have two daughters and reside in Pittsford, NY.
