Lyn Barnett '69
Ms.
Barnett has over 20 years of experience in marketing, business
development, planning, and management in organizations that
include start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. She is especially
skilled at developments in new and emerging markets and
technologies. Currently, she is providing business planning
guidance to various SBIR-funded Department of Defense technology
start-ups.
Previously, Ms. Barnett led the server-based wireless technology
initiatives at Compaq, where her team developed and marketed
wireless enterprise solutions to reduce cost and improve
profitability of businesses around the globe. Ms. Barnett’s
extensive experience includes internal and external consulting,
market strategy development, alliance and partner management,
strategic planning, channel development, marketing plan
implementation, customer identification, and team management of
both large and small organizations.
In addition to her work at Compaq, Ms. Barnett has a rich
background in marketing and business planning at both
Eastman-Kodak and Xerox and currently serves on the Board of
Trustees of Houghton College, from which she earned a BA in
Business Administration.
