Norman P. Leenhouts

 

Norman LeenhoutsNorman P. Leenhouts has served as Board Co-Chair of Home Properties since his retirement as Co-Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2004. Home Properties is traded on the New York Stock Exchange. He had served as Board Chair, Co-Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company since its inception in 1993. Prior to January 1, 2006, Norman Leenhouts was a co-owner, together with his brother, Nelson Leenhouts, of Home Leasing, where he had served as Board Chair since 1971. 

He is currently the Chairman of Broadstone Real Estate, formed to contain the property management business of Home Leasing.  He is also Chairman of Broadstone Net Lease, a private real estate investment trust that focuses on the ownership of net leased property designed for investment by high net worth individuals and institutional investors. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Rochester, Roberts Wesleyan College, and The Charles E. Finney School, where he also serves as Board Chair.  He is a member of the Leadership Group for his church, Edgewood Free Methodist Church. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester and is a certified public accountant.

The purpose of the monthly Guest Executive Dinner series at Houghton College is to increase student exposure to marketplace professionals from various fields and service opportunities to be both salt and light after college.
