Rhea Reed

Rhea Reed is a CPA as well as an attorney admitted to practice in Maryland and New York. She was a full-time, tenured accounting professor at Houghton College in Western New York for seven years before relocating to Maryland. She served five years as the Director of Internal Audit for the State of Maryland Judiciary, and then as the Academic Director for UMUC's undergraduate accounting program for academic year 2006-07.

Since August 1, 2007, she has been serving as the Director of Internal Audit for the Comptroller of Maryland. Professor Reed has a special interest in government contracts, having worked for both the government and private sector in positions including audit, contract management, claims negotiation and proposal pricing. As a volunteer, she is a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of Partners with Russia, a not-for-profit that sponsors educational and cultural exchange programs with Russian partner organizations.
