William "Will" Kuchta, Ed.D.

William KuchtaDr. Kuchta is currently Vice President, Organizational Development for Paychex, Inc., a leading national provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits solutions for small-to medium-sized businesses.  He joined Paychex in 1995 and was appointed Vice President and a corporate officer in 1996, reporting to the CEO.

Will manages the Paychex human resources and training departments, the Government Affairs Office, and the security and safety functions that serve the company’s 13,000 employees in over 100 locations across the U.S. and Germany.  He has guided the Employer of Choice process, achieving recognition on Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for six years, at #31 in 2009.  He oversaw the transition of the University of Paychex from a traditional training function into a world-class leader, included on Training magazine’s list of the Top 125 Training Organizations, 2002-2009 (#21 in 2009).  For more information about Paychex and their products, visit www.paychex.com.

Prior to joining Paychex, Will founded and was managing principal of Organizational Change & Development, a consulting firm dedicated to management change, both organizational and individual.  His earlier professional positions included serving as CHRO for Fisons U.S, as well as various human resources responsibilities for Boehringer Ingelheim (Germany- pharmaceutical) and United Technologies.  Prior to that he worked in manufacturing and served in the U.S. Army.  Will has also served in adjunct faculty and administrative roles at Cornell University, New School for Social Research, University of New Haven (CT), Western Connecticut State University, and Union College (Schenectady, NY).

Will’s educational background includes a Doctor of Education (University of Bridgeport, CT), MLIR, (Michigan State University), M.S., Administration (SUNY Albany), and a B.A., Economics and History, (Union College, NY).  He is also a fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources.
