Kruppenbacher
Mr. Kruppenbacher is the director
of Electric Distribution Engineering for
New York State Electric
& Gas (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas & Electric, subsidiaries of Energy East
Corporation. He has worked with NYSEG for
the past 24 years. He is responsible for 4 of NYSEG’s 13
divisions which run from 40 mi. north of NYC to the Canadian
border and the southern part of the Catskill Mountains. With
over 200,000 customers and about 450 employees, some of Art’s
division operations include electric and gas line construction,
operation, & maintenance, customer service, engineering, and
system protection.

NYSEG include:
Managing Director - East Region
Operations Manager - East Region
Gas Operations Manager - Binghamton Division
Gas Manger - Auburn Division
Gas Operating Supt - Geneva Division
Division Operating Supt - Liberty Division
Local Operating Supt - Hamburg
Field Engineer - Brewster Division
Agricultural Engineer - Mechanicsville Division
Art is a registered professional engineer in New York State and
has a BS in Agricultural Engineering from Cornell University. He
also has about 970 hours of flight time as an instrument rated
private pilot. Miriam, his wife, is a Houghton College graduate.
Together they have a daughter, Leah, who was born in 1999.
