Clifford Lange
Clifford Lange, son-in-law of Houghton alum Dr. Richard Topazian
’51, is currently the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer,
and Chief Actuary at Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company. In
this position, Mr. Lange reports to the President and CEO of an
$800 million asset and one million policyholder company,
established in 1891. He leads a team of 25 professionals and is
responsible for the financial reporting, planning and budgeting
for the company.Mr. Lange has many years of experience in the insurance and assurance field, holding previous positions with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Blue Shield of California, GE Financial Assurance, as well as others big name insurance companies. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in Mathematics and Actuarial Science. While in college Lange was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon, a Mathematics Honor Society. More recently he received his Black belt Certification in 2002.
Also interested in his community, Clifford Lange has been a Salvation Army Advisory board member in Indianapolis, IN, served on the United Way Board of Directors, Richmond/St. Petersburg, VA, and on the American Heart Association Board of Directors, Rochester, NY more locally.
