Jim LaDine '86
Jim
LaDine graduated from Houghton in 1986 (Biology, Chemistry) and
went to SUNY-Upstate (Syracuse, NY) to receive a Ph.D. in
Biochemistry, followed by two years working as a post-doctoral
researcher. He joined Fisons Instrument (Cambridge, UK) in 1993
as his first position in the world of Scientific
Instrumentation. He is now Global Director of Research and
Development for the Lab Consumables Division of Thermo Fisher
Scientific, a global leader in scientific instruments,
consumables, reagents, and equipment.

Jim’s wife of 23 years is Barbara (Carini, ‘86). They have four children and live presently in Whitinsville, Massachusetts.
