Jon Prinsell

Houghton
College is pleased to welcome Jon Prinsell ’70 as February’s Guest Executive
Dinner speaker on Friday, February 10, 2012. Prinsell was previously the president
of Yum! Canada, Inc. and will be sharing
his experiences and advice with students and faculty.
In 2009, after a 39-year international career, Prinsell retired
from Yum! Brands, which operates and franchises KFC, Pizza Hut,
and Taco Bell establishments around the world. Prinsell holds an
impressive track record of starting up and successfully turning
around restaurants in over 50 countries while living on four continents.
Prior to his work with Yum!, Prinsell alternately was responsible for the
overseeing of Pizza Hut businesses in Europe, Russia, North Africa, Asia,
the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries before settling
in Canada. During his time in Canada, Prinsell was elected to the Canadian
Restaurant and Foodservices Association, the board of Canada’s largest
organization of chain and independent restaurants owners, and Unified
Purchasing Group of Canada, the franchise-controlled supply and distribution
organization for the brands of Yum! Canada.
Prinsell is currently a member of the executive advisory committee for World
Hope International and serves as board director for Vox Lumine, a choral group
based out of Rochester and Buffalo, NY, founded by Brandon Johnson, the current
director of choral activities here at Houghton. Prinsell has recently done work
in Sierra Leone with Global Partners, a missionary branch of the Wesleyan Church.
Mr. Prinsell was previously our guest on February 20, 2006. Click here for a short YouTube sample of his remarks.
The monthly Guest Executive Dinner series is sponsored by Houghton's business department to increase student exposure of marketplace professionals from various fields and open the doors to service opportunities.
