Hands-On Investing of Real Money
Would you like a truly hands-on opportunity to research and buy and sell stocks with real money? Then the Student Investment Group (SIG) may be for you. The SIG offers a select group of business and accounting students the opportunity to serve as one of Houghton College’s portfolio managers.
The group’s portfolio is currently valued at over $250,000 and the group’s performance since its creation almost eight years ago has equaled that of many professional money managers.
Admission to the group is by application only with preference given to upperclass students with sufficient background to do independent and group research in collaboration with a faculty member.
