The Physical and Health Education Department at Houghton offers three majors in physical education leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree: K-12 physical education teacher certification, K-12 Health and physical education dual teacher certification, and a non-certification major in physical education.

Physical and Health Education at Houghton
If you’re preparing for a teaching career, you’ll gain practical, in-classroom experience during your time at Houghton. You’ll complete a full semester of student teaching with exposure to both public and private schools as well as home school curricula.
