Dr. Yuly's research interests include low and medium energy nuclear physics and small accelerator design. Dr. Yuly has co-authored several physics articles on his research, and has been a visiting scientist at MIT and the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE).

Director, First-Year Science Honors Program, College, Houghton, NY 14744. Designed and implemented a novel science honors program for academically gifted first-year students.  

2011-present Visiting Scientist, SUNY-Geneseo, Department of Physics, Geneseo, NY 14454.   Experiment measure 12C(n,2n) cross section for use in LLE and NIF ICF diagnostics.

2000-present Visiting Scientist, Los Alamos National Laboratory. Collaborator in the 3He(n,pp)nn, d(n,nd) and d(n,np)n experiments at Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE).

Summer 2000 Visiting Scientist, Massachusetts Inst. of Technology, Participant in development and testing of drift chamber detectors for the Bates Large Acceptance Spectrometer Toroid (BLAST) detector system.

1999-2000 Associate Professor of Physics, Eastern Nazarene College.
