When
I graduated from Houghton in 2007, I had completed a double-major in
Writing and Philosophy, along with a minor in Bible. I then went on
to study at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, run by Ravi
Zacharias International Ministries.
Based at an Anglican seminary in Oxford, England, this international course was a one-year training program, under the regular teaching of lecturers such as Alister McGrath, Michael Green, and John Lennox.
Following my completion of the course, I wanted to further my study in apologetics, with the aim of becoming both a writer and itinerant apologist. On somewhat of a whim, I applied to the University of Oxford. To everyone’s surprise, I was accepted! I am now enrolled on a 2-year course, a ‘Master of Theology in Applied Theology.’ I hope to combine it with a PhD, for a total of 4 years. As it turns out, my studies at Houghton more than prepared me for my current course of study in Oxford. Indeed, I’m continually amazed at the quality of teaching in philosophy and religion at Houghton that led me to where I am now.
