Campus Store

The Campus Store provides supplies and merchandise for academic and personal needs.  Additional services include gift cards, helium balloons, check cashing, phone, mail and e-mail orders, special orders for non-required textbooks and general books, cap and gown distribution, and textbook buyback.

Textbooks

Each student’s class schedule determines what textbooks and materials are required for each course.

The Campus Store strives to provide students with both used and new textbooks.  There are now three ways to purchase textbooks through the Campus Store: (1) fill out the prepack order form and return to the Campus Store, (2) order online through the Campus Store website, or (3) stop by the store and shop off the shelf.

Prepack Ordering

Obtain a prepack order form from the Campus Store or from the link on the store website (www.houghton.bkstr.com).  Fill it out and drop it off, e-mail, fax or mail it to the store.  When the Campus Store staff receives the form, they will print off a copy of the student’s class schedule, and pack the required textbooks for the class.  Only the books required for the course will be packed.

It is recommended that students attend the first session of class prior to purchasing optional texts.  Payment is by credit card or student account.  Students may pick up their prepack orders at the Campus Store prior to the start of classes.

Online Ordering

Visit the Campus Store website, www.houghton.bkstr.com, and order
textbooks online.

Beginning August 1 and continuing until five days before classes start, students may select their books by following the directions posted on the website. It is recommended that students attend the first session of class prior to purchasing optional texts.

Payment is by credit card or student account. Students may pick up their online orders at the Campus Store prior to the start of classes.

Off the Shelf

Students may stop by the Campus Store and find their books in the textbooks
section of the store.

To avoid purchasing incorrect books, it is recommended that students have a copy of their schedule when they shop for their texts. Campus Store staff are available to answer questions should students need assistance. It is recommended that students attend the first session of class prior to purchasing optional texts.

Methods of Payment

The Campus Store accepts the following methods of payment: cash, personal checks, Discover, MasterCard, Visa and traveler’s checks. Students may also charge textbooks and school supplies to their Houghton College Student Account.
