Financial Aid

Each year, 90% of Houghton students receive financial aid. Houghton awards aid on the basis of both need and merit. Your eligibility for need-based aid is determined by completing the proper paperwork. It is to your advantage to submit your paperwork as soon as possible.

U.S. Residents

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (Houghton's FAFSA code is 002734)

New York state residents

To apply for New York state tuition assistance, you must submit a TAP application. (This form will be mailed to you upon completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Houghton's NYSHESC school code is 0305.)

Canadian students

Canadian Student Financial Aid Application
If you are a dual citizen (Canada & U.S.) you must also submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (Houghton's FAFSA code is 002734)
