Advanced Placement & Transfer Credit
Houghton awards college credit for most AP exams with a score of 4 or better.

Courses taken at a local college will often transfer to Houghton. In order to transfer the course must be taken at a regionally accredited institution. Courses must also be 100 level or higher and a grade of C- or higher must be earned. Courses may transfer toward integrative studies (general education), major or minor requirements, or may count as electives.
