Interesting fact about me

Some might say I’m a ranchera -- a country born cowgirl. I was born in Nebraska and grew up on our family ranch in Colorado.  However, I don’t actually wear plaid and pigtails everday!

Why I chose Houghton

I knew that I wanted to be somewhere for my four years of college that I could grow not only academically, but also spiritually. I love playing volleyball and running track, and Houghton was a place where I could pursue the passions God placed upon my heart and the gifts that He has given me. When I came for my campus visit I just knew this was the place for me.

Favorite Houghton Memory

There are just too many to choose from! I loved team devotions with the sports teams, walking away from classes where I felt like my heart and my head were both on fire (in a good way), true fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ, pranking the guys dorm, sledding down the ski hill on lunch trays.  There are way too many to choose from!

Along with Houghton I also love...

God, my family and friends, running, tea, gardening, and being outdoors in God's sweet creation (including sand volleyball, rock climbing, and hiking)!
