Why I chose Houghton

Besides the fact that I stepped out of the car and simply "felt" that this was the place, I was drawn by the laptop, and the First-year Honors Program.

Favorite Houghton Memory

Too many to choose from, but one that stands out is the 1920's-themed surprise party my friends put on for my 21st birthday. They told me to be dressed for swing-dancing, and at the appointed time, there came a knock on my door. Then a FLOOD of friends poured in, decked out in their best 20’s outfits—including one disheveled business man straight from Wall Street after the stock market crash.
