AP, IB and CLEP

Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced course standing and/or college credit may be granted for students who earn an approved score on select Advanced Placement (AP) tests. 

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Houghton will grant credit for higher-level IB subjects passed with a 5 or higher.  A maximum of 32 semester hours can be earned through IB coursework.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

Houghton awards credit for the following College Level-Examination Program (CLEP) subject exams.  More information about CLEP can be found on the College Board website.
