Transfer Opportunity Day
Considering your options for where to transfer and asking yourself, “what’s next?” There are a lot of choices out there, and it can be overwhelming at times to figure out where you want to complete your degree. That’s where we come in: we invite you to attend a visit day specifically for transfer students.
Friday, March 15, 2013: Transfer Opportunity Day
Interact with current students, tour the campus, meet our professors, learn more about your academic area of interest, have your transcript evaluated, and see how Houghton is a great place for transfer students to finish their degree.
Houghton College offers a rigorous and personalized education within a vibrant, Christ-centered community. We invite you to spend a day with us and experience Houghton first-hand. As an extra option, you are welcome to schedule an overnight visit to round out your visit experience.
Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. with the schedule beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. and the official visit events will conclude by 4:30 p.m. with the option to stay for evening activities beyond this time.
The day's activities will include
- Campus tour
- Chapel
- Lunch with faculty and current students
- Greetings from President Mullen
- Transcript evaluation (if you send your transcripts ahead of time, see below for details*)
- Information sessions from Student Life, Academic Records and Financial Aid
While the structured visit schedule will end by 4:30 p.m., below are activities going on that evening that you are invited to attend:
- Symphonic Winds Concert | Wesley Chapel | 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
