Houghton College Student Scholarship Fund

When Willard J. Houghton founded Houghton College, the cost for tuition was $4 per term. While costs have risen since that time, Houghton’s commitment to providing students an affordable and transformative education has remained strong. Today students engage in a dynamic Christian liberal arts experience that offers excellence in academics while provoking meaningful spiritual growth.

The Houghton College Student Scholarship Fund equips students with the motivation and opportunity to answer God’s call on their lives as they pursue a Houghton education. It allows students to develop their intellect and their faith in an atmosphere rich with knowledge, dialogue, and fellowship. It helps them share their calling and giftedness with the rest of the world.

By giving to the Houghton College Student Scholarship Fund, you make a difference both locally and globally. As an international student, I am so grateful for the financial support that has allowed me to attend Houghton and experience great change in my life. I’ve learned we are all brothers and sisters in Christ; that everyone can be a blessing by investing time and love; and that when we meet the needs of others, God meets our needs as well. I came to Houghton to complete my degree, but have found the experience to be so much more.

Over the last two years, God has continuously affirmed my decision to attend Houghton College. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for Houghton and the people who make these incredible experiences possible through prayerful and financial support. With every class I take, I am not only gaining knowledge in my areas of study, I am being prepared for the world. Houghton has taught me to incorporate my faith in every aspect of life and I have learned more – academically, relationally, and spiritually—than I ever thought possible.
