Our faith is the foundation of Houghton’s Christ-centered education. One can see that much has changed at Houghton College over the years--buildings, styles, even coursework--but the foundation remains: an academically challenging, Christ-centered education.

Your gift to The Houghton Fund enables us to build on this foundation, to make the vision of a Christian education in the liberal arts and sciences a reality.

A commitment to service...

Service Day and outreach groups are a tradition at Houghton. Faculty and staff reach out to neighbors through a variety of service learning opportunities. Accounting and business classes prepare taxes for the local community. Marketing and advertising classmates design local business newspaper ads and radio spots.

Supporting The Houghton Fund allows the college to purchase necessary tools to serve.

An intentional community...

Bucking the trend of an average seven years in office, President Chamberlain and many faculty and staff have made Houghton their lives’ vocation. Maintaining the unique tradition of community brings with it a substantial financial burden. With your support, Houghton is able to maintain and develop services, facilities and programs at the heart of Houghton’s mission.

Much has been done. There is much yet to do.

In fiscal year 2005 (June 1, 2004 – May 31, 2005), The Houghton Fund is striving to raise $1.1 million in cash. This cash will count towards operating support in the overall Campaign for Christian Liberal Arts.

We ask you to prayerfully consider a donation so that Houghton can continue to equip students to lead and labor as scholar-servants in a changing world.
