Houghton College will be hosting its 28th annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair featuring over 50 vendors including a visit from Santa Claus and daily activities for the children. This event will be held Wednesday, December 10 and Thursday, December 11, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the Reinhold Campus Center. This event is free and open to the public.
Vendors from across Western New York will sell handmade, one-of-a-kind artwork such as pottery, wood-crafts and jewelry, along with fresh baked goods, soap, wreaths, Pampered Chef products and much more.
Additionally, Houghton students will also contribute handmade jewelry, letterpress prints and ornaments to the fair.
Santa will be a part of the festivities and in the Campus Store Thursday, December 11, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for free photo opportunities. Both days there will be cookie frosting and paper snowflake making stations available for children at no cost.
Daily raffles will feature vendors’ items, and shoppers will receive a raffle ticket for each transaction made at the fair.
Houghton’s coffee shop, Java 101, will also be serving Starbucks coffee beverages and pastries in the lower level of the Campus Center where more vendors can be found.
Each year, the Arts and Crafts Fair is held in the beginning of December and provides community members and students a unique opportunity to find something special for the holidays and support local artisans and small businesses.
