Guest Artist: Clayton Hamilton, saxophone

Saxophonist Clayton Hamilton ‘10 will hold a solo performance at Houghton College Wednesday, February 19 in the CFA Recital Hall at 6:30 p.m. He will also join the Philharmonia the following Friday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Wesley Chapel. Both performances are free of charge and open to the public.
Hamilton received his Bachelor of Music in education from Houghton College in 2010, and then went on to receive a master’s degree in saxophone performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. He is now a high school teacher at the Rising Tide Charter Public School in Plymouth, Mass.
Hamilton studied under Ken Radnofsky while at the New England Conservatory. He played at the world premiere of Philip Glass’s Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Wind Ensemble under the direction of Charles Peltz.
“We are thrilled to have Clayton return…and perform with the Philharmonia,” states Justin Davis, the assistant professor of conducting.
