Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance
Full time. Tenure track. Fall 2015.
Opportunity: We are seeking applications and nominations for a committed Christian to fill a tenure-track faculty position to teach primarily in the field of finance and other general business course depending on qualifications. The five-member department provides instruction from a strong liberal arts perspective to 80-100 traditional majors and 120 majors in our adult program.
Responsibilities: Teach finance and lead the department’s student investment group, managing a $300,000 real-money portfolio. The successful candidate will be charged with growing the business program and with developing relationships with business and industry partners. Occasional teaching responsibilities in our adult program are available. Student advising, ongoing scholarship, and committee responsibilities will also be expected. Collaborative research with undergraduates is expected.
Qualifications: PhD or DBA, preferred; Master degree and related professional experience required. Candidates must show evidence of organizational skills, resourcefulness, versatility, collegiality, and teaching effectiveness. A record of successful professional activity is preferred. Candidates with interest in data analytics or social entrepreneurship will be given preference.
