Coordinator of Music Education - Assistant or Associate Professor
Full-time, Tenure-track. Fall 2013.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach and further develop curricula for graduate and undergraduate music education courses including Instrumental Methods, Field Experience in Music Education, and Student Teaching Seminar, as well as supervise music student teachers during each fall semester. Additional teaching responsibilities in private voice or instrumental instruction, vocal ensemble conducting, or musicology depending on the qualifications of the candidate.
Qualifications: A Ph.D., DMA, or Ed.D. in music is preferred with a minimum of 5 years of public school music teaching experience. Must possess outstanding creative, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, provide evidence of teaching excellence in undergraduate music education, and have a strong commitment to the Christian faith.
Salary: Rank and salary will be determined based upon experience.
