For Your Information
Each graduating senior will receive 3 tickets for seating in the chapel. Auxiliary seating will be available in the Recital Hall, Instrumental Rehearsal Room and Campus Center Lower Level via large-screen projection. We welcome all who wish to attend! Additional tickets for chapel seating may be available. However, the graduating seniors must request these and will soon receive details as to how to make this request.
In addition to the nearby hotels, we will open our dorms to accommodate many families here on campus. If you would like to stay in college housing, please register online at www.houghton.edu/commencement by April 17.
You may purchase tickets for Friday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Saturday breakfast. Please register online at www.houghton.edu/commencement by April 17. (Graduating seniors do not need meal tickets.)
Receptions are open to everyone, without need for tickets.
Honors will be printed on the program and will reflect the information available to the Records Office at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6. Please note that college policy states that transfer students who have fewer than 62 hours at Houghton are not eligible for honors.
Diplomas will be mailed to the graduate's home address on file in the Academic Records Office within 4-6 weeks of completing their requirements.
All college bills (including library fines) must be paid at least one week prior to commencement—Friday, May 1, by 3:00 p.m. (Please note: diplomas cannot be mailed to students with outstanding accounts or fines.)
All library books must be returned to the library by Tuesday, May 5, at 5 p.m. (Please note: diplomas cannot be mailed to students with unreturned library books.)
