Graduation honors

Honors will be printed on the program and will reflect the information available to the Records Office at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7th.  Please note that college policy states that transfer students who have fewer than 62 hours at Houghton are not eligible for honors.

Diplomas

Diplomas will be mailed to the graduate's home address on file in the Academic Records Office within 4-6 weeks of completing their requirements. 

Pictures/Video/Announcements

The College has contracted with Genesee Photo Systems and DB Video to take pictures of this year's commencement proceedings. Genesee Photo takes individual shots of each graduate as he or she receives a diploma and walks across the stage. Ordering these photos is entirely optional, but this service is available. Houghton has likewise engaged DB Video to videotape the entire commencement, and the graduate's family will receive an order form from them in the next few weeks with the opportunity to order in advance. An order may also be placed the day of commencement.

Finances

All college bills (including library fines) must be paid at least one week prior to commencement—Friday, May 2nd, by 3:00 p.m. (Please note that diplomas cannot be mailed to students with outstanding accounts or fines.)

Library Books

All library books must be returned to the library by Tuesday, May 6th, at 5 p.m.  (Once again, please note that diplomas cannot be mailed to students with unreturned library books.)
