Housing for Graduation
Accommodations
On-campus students will remain in their rooms through the close of commencement. Students who are off campus spring semester will need to make arrangements for room and board (with the exception of the Senior Banquet) while here for commencement. Contact Rebecca Crouch in the Conference Office via commencement@Houghton.edu for reservations or other housing questions.
Visiting families and friends are welcome to rent residence hall rooms for graduation weekend. Residence hall room registration information will be sent to families of graduating students. If guests would like to stay off-campus, there are area accommodations you may wish to consider. With many colleges holding commencements, we recommend making plans early.
Special needs/circumstances:
If a guest has special physical needs, please let Rebecca Crouch know as soon as possible at commencement@Houghton.edu so that she can provide accommodations in the room selection, the chapel, and the dining hall.
Questions regarding special circumstances can be directed to Julie.Haingray@Houghton.edu in the Dean's office (x3150). If a graduate is married, commencement information will likely go to the student and not to their parents. Graduates will need to see that parents are notified.
