Meet the Horses

This is the amazing herd of horses that the college currently owns.  Every horse (or pony) has been donated to the college with the purpose of teaching the students a vast range of things from western pleasure to riding over fences to the precision of dressage.  These horses are used for classes, riding lessons and summer camps and enthusiastically put their whole hearts into their jobs.

He can do advanced level western work like turnbacks, rollbacks, sidepass, flying changes, and pivots. He can jump 2’9”. He can gallop cross country faster than 400 meters/minute. He drives quietly pulling a cart. He has been a lesson pony since he came to us at only 5 years old – and he still enjoys his job thoroughly. (However, he does NOT believe in wasting energy however, especially if carrying a scared beginner!)

Shadow of Dreams

Mo is another “does everything well” horse that every instructor likes to use in lessons. She packs beginners around sweetly, does Second Level Dressage, jumps competently and with enthusiasm, events and gives riders learning to event confidence, and goes western. She is also a very steady, reliable trail horse. She takes real pleasure in making her riders look good.
