Islam Conference

Many Christians are puzzled by the rising profile and influence of Islam across the world and in the United States and Canada. They see much in the news about violence and terror in connection with Muslim extremism and find it disturbing. It is increasingly common to have friends and family who are involved in the United States presence in Afghanistan and Iraq. Christians suspect there is more to understand about Islam than what they see in news clips or read in brief articles in papers. Are all Muslims inclined towards terrorism? What is jihad? How should one think about Allah versus the God whom Christians worship? What is our responsibility as Christians in relation to Muslims we meet? We invite church leaders to a conference at Houghton to consider these questions.

Come and sharpen your understanding of Islamic teachings and interact with our staff of believers who have many years of experience living among and interacting with Muslims and their world. Learn about ways in which Christians can lovingly listen and respond to Muslims, opening doors to dialogue and friendship.
