Sticker Price vs. Net Price
When evaluating college costs, it's important to compare the sticker price (how much a college charges) with the net price that you will pay after receiving financial aid. 99% of Houghton students are awarded financial aid each year. The average amount of Houghton financial aid a first-year Houghton student received in the 2018-19 academic year was $16,600. This does not include loans, federal, state or other forms of aid. It only includes scholarships and grants from Houghton College. Each year we invest a total of over $13 million in financial aid to our students!
