Applying

Application Requirements

  1. A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  2. A 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for undergraduate work.
    Students with a G.P.A. between 2.5 and 3.0 may be considered for provisional admission. Providing they demonstrate sufficient academic progress and ability, they will be allowed to become regular students after the first semester.
  3. 12 semester credit hours of undergraduate course work in theology and biblical studies, or lacking this, satisfactory performance on a matriculation exam.
  4. Official transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions leading up to the granting of a bachelor's degree. Also, transcripts from any graduate-level education the student may have had.
  5. Three letters of reference (two academic references, and one character reference)
  6. Application fee ($40.00)
  7. TOEFL scores for those whose native language is not English
  8. If you choose, you may also submit a full resume (curriculum vitae) to GTS@houghton.edu
