Preparation for the Future

The Master of Arts in Theological Studies can be utilized in a number of ways:

• To broaden and sharpen the student’s grasp of theology and Scripture, preparing them to better serve the Kingdom of God, whether in ordained ministry or as informed laity.
• To upgrade the professional credentials of people in ministry, in some cases qualifying them for higher levels of licensing.
• To form the core of the Master of Divinity degree, the traditional seminary degree offered for parish ministry.
• To prepare the student for further graduate work at the doctoral level, demonstrating the student’s academic and research capabilities
• To equip students to enter into their chosen culture(s) with the tools necessary to become an agent for God’s Kingdom in the world.
