Purpose
Welcome to the latest edition of Houghton magazine! This issue of the Houghton magazine features stories that refer to the purpose of Houghton College – academics, graduation, service and creation care – just to name a few. It is difficult to narrow down the purpose of Houghton College to fit within one publication – our purpose is so much more than what can be defined within the pages of this magazine. Perhaps it is best reflected within the words, “Prepared to Achieve, Motivated to Serve.” Our students are academically gifted and have the tools to succeed in whatever path God leads them to – that of service to the community or serving within the professional roles they achieve. We have tried to showcase this idea throughout the magazine and hope that it gives our readers a glimpse into the purpose of Houghton College.
