Assistant or Associate Professor of Old Testament

Full time.  Tenure track.  Fall 2012.

Houghton College department of Biblical Studies invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor of Old Testament, starting late August 2012. 

Responsibilities:  Teach 12 hours per semester to include general education, upper-level Old Testament courses and Hebrew (all undergraduate level). 

Qualifications:  Ph.D. or A.B.D. at time of hire; previous experience teaching is desirable. Candidates from underrepresented groups are welcomed. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastically committed to undergraduate education in a broadly Evangelical context, and will display evidence of continuing research and scholarship. All faculty are expected to subscribe to a statement of faith and community living standards.

Rank and Salary:  Determination of rank and salary is based upon education and experience.
