Office for Institutional Effectiveness
The Office for Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) was established in the Fall of 2016 as a centralized location for the following services and functions:
- Institutional Reporting
OIE provides data to the Federal and New York State governments as required for compliance with Title IV and other requirements. We also respond to data requests from college ranking websites and other interested parties.
- Campus-Wide Data Management
Houghton uses several large databases to track performance and provided needed services. OIE brings these data together in a timely manner to aid decision-making and maximize our data resources.
- Institutional Assessment
OIE works in conjunction with campus personnel to develop effective tools and strategies for judging and improving our performance in all areas – Academic, student life, and campus services.
- Planning and “Special Projects”
OIE responds to special requests for data collection and analysis in support of various offices across the Houghton College system.
