During the fiscal year from June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013, gifts to the Houghton College annual fund, capital projects and endowment have exceeded a record-breaking $12.5 million. This outdoes the record of $10.33 million set the previous year. The two-year total of over $22.8M given to Houghton College is more than the previous 5 years of giving combined.

A commencement ceremony celebrating 44 Houghton College adult education undergraduates took place Saturday, May 18, 2013, in John and Charles Wesley Chapel at the Houghton, New York, campus. Each of the students earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management. Graduates came from six cohorts: three from West Seneca (Cohorts P7, R7 and W7), Cohort N7 of Jamestown, Cohort Q7 from Dansville and Cohort S7 from Olean.

Leadership Allegany chairperson Pamela Witter welcomed the program’s newest cohort with an opening retreat at Houghton College on Friday, April 26. The class of 2014 is the program’s largest class to date with 19 adult professionals from Allegany County enrolled.
