Houghton College is pleased to welcome Chris D. McNiven ’97 as September’s Guest Executive Dinner speaker on Friday September 14, 2012. McNiven serves as an executive level consultant and is presently partnering with four consulting firms. McNiven is contracted by RobertsonLowstuter, Prime Associates, Continuing Development Services, and Executive Capacity, LLC.  through these companies, McNiven provides executive bench strength to organizations seeking to stabilize or grow their business.  In addition, in many situations, he acts as a coach to the senior management team in these organizations.

McNiven has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare, hospitality, and service industries. His primary area of expertise lies with balancing human capital and organizational processes to consistently attain improvements in stakeholder alignment, quality measures, and financial performance. McNiven specializes in organizational development, collaboratively creating and deploying talent, change management, and operational effectiveness strategies for the benefit of his clients.

McNiven has a Bachelor of Arts in education from Houghton College; a Master of Arts in psychology from Trinity Graduate School; a Master of Science in advanced leadership studies and is currently completing a doctorate in organizational leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. He and his wife Jennifer (formerly Lytle) are both Houghton alumni of the class of ’97.

The monthly Guest Executive Dinner series is sponsored by Houghton's business department to increase student exposure to marketplace professionals from various fields and open the doors to service opportunities. McNiven will lecture on Friday evening beginning at 5 p.m. in the South End Dining Room in the Houghton College dining hall. This is a ‘scan-in-and-pick-up-your-meal’ event open to all Houghton students, faculty and the general public.
