The Greatbatch School of Music at Houghton College is pleased to welcome Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass to the Wesley Chapel stage on Friday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will kick off the 2017-2018 Artist Series season with the ensemble’s signature sound: a contemporary approach to classic hymns. The group consists of an array of instruments, including three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion, and keyboards.

Ensemble members hail from Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas, creating an innovative musical style that all generations will enjoy. Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass has been applauded by music critics for being “superb in every way” and “an unforgettable experience,” and is in its third decade of delighting audiences around the world.

The group visits Houghton College this year as part of a 120-concert tour at venues across the United States as well as internationally.
