HOUGHTON HIRES NEW DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Donald Haingray has been hired as director of technology services at Houghton College.

“Haingray brings eighteen years of solid IT experience in major corporate environments,” said Jeff Spear, vice president for finance and treasurer of Houghton College. “Our greatest need for the next few years will be coordinating a migration to a new administrative system. Haingray's hands-on project management in complex environments will be invaluable as we carefully navigate this process. We are indeed fortunate to have secured an individual of this caliber.”

Haingray comes to Houghton after working as the senior manager responsible for recruiting and developing the systems engineering resources for Pitney Bowes Management Services. While managing a $2.8 million budget he performed technical business case reviews, software evaluations and vendor negotiations. He also worked as a manager in consulting and integration during the merger of Danka Services International with Pitney Bowes Management Services.

From 1986-1997 he served as an information services project manager for UPS. Haingray was responsible for the installation, configuration and support of wide and local area networks and workstations. In this role he also conducted presentations for national and global account managers, supervised technicians, and designed custom software solutions to meet customer needs.

Haingray completed pre-engineering course work at Houghton College. He earned his bachelors’ from SUNY Brockport in 1990.
